Tiffany- Owner/ Director

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, my company, and the services BCS provides. My name is Tiffany Krusey, owner of Bridge Coordination Services, LLC (BCS). I am a Victim Coordinator…and I love what I do. I come from a law enforcement family where my father and brothers have served their communities as law enforcement officers, with honor and pride. I too, have served in various roles within law enforcement for over fifteen years and have spent the past eleven years working as a Victim Services Coordinator. I have my Master’s Degree in Restorative Justice from Vermont Law School, I am a certified (Advanced Level) Nationally Credentialed Advocate, and Trauma Informed Train-the-trainer. I truly believe in the mission of law enforcement, and understand the fundamental duty is to serve the community. I truly believe in protecting and preserving the rights of those who have been harmed, and those who have done harm as well. I know from first-hand experience, that creating bridges for dialogue between victims, law enforcement and prosecution helps to further develop trust in our communities.

In my role as a Victim Coordinator, I have served within law enforcement agencies assisting those impacted by crime. My goal as a law enforcement integrated Victim Coordinator is to create opportunity for those who have been harmed to have their voices heard. The criminal justice system is offender focused, and with traditional law enforcement and prosecutorial practices, it is slow to communicate with victims of crime following an arrest. It feels the as if the response to criminal incidents is focused on the systems…not the people.

As a Victim Coordinator, I am able to focus on the people, and help them navigate the complex criminal justice system. Victim Coordinators provide those impacted by harm and those with involvement in the criminal justice process, with a single point of contact within a law enforcement agency. We are able to address any questions and concerns about a criminal incident, and we communicate directly with prosecution services about the hopes and desires of the victims.

In 2017, I formed Bridge Coordination Services, LLC. to provide contract law enforcement integrated victim services tailored to meet the need of individual agencies in my community. Since then, I have developed and implemented Domestic Violence/Victim Coordinator services for six law enforcement agencies in Snohomish County Washington, and one prosecutorial firm which provides prosecution services for multiple law enforcement agencies in Snohomish and Skagit Counties. The focus of BCS is to provide clear communication between all of those involved in the criminal justice system. I am experienced in Law Enforcement training, community outreach, team building, program implementation, and multi-agency collaboration.

As the landscape of Law Enforcement is changing, I believe that support services, such as law enforcement integrated Domestic Violence /Victim Coordinator programs will become standard practice. The collaboration and engagement between law enforcement personnel and Victim Coordinators provides a more comprehensive and effective approach with working with victims of crime, allowing law enforcement personnel to focus on core law enforcement duties and emergent services, and victim coordinators to focus on vicitm voice and healing.

Thank you-

Tiffany

Our Coordinators…

BCS is committed to fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development as a critical part of our BCS culture. Providing Victim Coordinators with an open learning and development culture promotes growth, awareness, and an opportunity to focus on how to best serve the community they serve. Each Victim Coordinator completes a Victim Coordinator Field Training program, a 40 hour "CORE Advocacy" training program, and continuing education annually. BCS Victim coordinators are encouraged to become accredited through the National Advocacy Credentialing Program and attend quarterly In-service training focusing on best practices. BCS Victim Coordinators are familiar with the dynamics of a law enforcement environment and thrive within that community.
