About
The Mission of Bridge Coordination Services, LLC. (BCS) is to provide information, education, and resources to victims of violence-related crimes and the law enforcement agencies which serve them. These services are provided through professional, compassionate, and respectful victim service practices.
Since 2015, Bridge Coordination Services, LLC (BCS) has provided Domestic Violence Coordinator and Victim Coordinator contract services to Law Enforcement agencies in Snohomish County, WA. BCS is a consulting and contract service designed to bridge the gap between victims of crime, law enforcement agencies, and the prosecuting attorneys' office.
BCS Victim Coordinators are familiar with the dynamics of law enforcement and are committed to assisting officers who respond to violence-related calls, the detectives who investigate the crimes, and the prosecutors who pursue charges. Victim Coordinators are familiar with law enforcement reporting and are able to obtain follow-up information from victims and provide supplemental statements to police reports.
BCS Victim Coordinators provide direct victim services, community outreach, law enforcement agency training and community presentations about domestic violence, and victim services for a variety of general crimes. BCS believes in immediate victim contact following a criminal incident, and each BCS Victim Coordinator has experience in providing safety planning and resource referrals to victims of crime. BCS Victim Coordinators serve as a point of contact within a law enforcement agency providing victims of crime with continued updates on criminal cases and incidents where no criminal charges are referred.
BCS Victim Coordinators are system based coordinators who work within law enforcement agencies and are subject to mandatory reporting of criminal activity. This means any case-related information or exculpatory information obtained from a victim is documented and shared with the law enforcement agency and prosecutors. Victim Coordinators share their role with Victims or crime, clearly explaining the mandatory reporting function of Victim Coordinators and sharing the ability to and act as a liaison between the victim, the law enforcement agency, and the prosecutor's office.
In addition to direct services provided to victims of crime, BCS Victim Coordinators share service recommendations to local non-profit organizations to build and maintain positive community relations in a professional and compassionate manner. BCS is ready to begin work, set goals, and assist law enforcement agencies in bridging the communication gap with victims and the criminal justice system.
